1. Scope

This policy covers the Galaxy Store edition of Leben in Deutschland, updated on 2026-10-25. The provider is Lee Lab; contact: lebenindeutschland@protonmail.com. This edition is free to download, has no in-app purchases, subscriptions or purchase-restoration feature, and is intended to be supported by advertising. It has no app accounts or developer-operated cloud sync. Current advertising is limited to Android development test ads; production ads require separate configuration, consent management and updated disclosures before activation.

2. Data stored on your device

The app stores your manually selected federal state, translation preference, answers and dates, correct and incorrect answer counts, marks, practice position, exam papers and results, and local backups made before import. These records provide learning and review features. The app does not automatically upload them to a developer server. State selection does not use GPS or store a street address or Anmeldung document.

3. Local learning and development test ads

Learning records stay on your device. There are no accounts, developer-operated usage analytics, third-party AI or remote crash collection. The Android debug build can show Google AdMob sample banner ads on Home, Practice, Mistakes, Marks, question details and submitted exam results. The exam question screen does not display ads. When enabled, the Google Mobile Ads SDK makes network requests and may process device/app information, network information such as your IP address, and ad interactions under Google's privacy practices. Learning answers, marks and backups are not attached to ad requests. Test ads do not generate advertising revenue. Profile/release builds do not initialize or request ads through this integration; the SDK's automatic initialization provider is disabled. Operating-system and store diagnostics and backups remain governed by their own settings. Production ads require a separate consent flow and updated disclosures before activation.

4. Imports, exports and system backups

Only when you initiate an import or export does the app use the system file picker to read or write your chosen backup. Exported JSON contains learning records; keep it securely. Before replacing records during import, the app keeps a local copy of the previous records. Your operating system may back up or restore app data according to your settings. This is not developer-operated cloud sync and is not controlled by the developer.

5. Sharing, reviews and contact

Sharing passes only an app description and a public download or information link to the system share sheet, without learning records. You choose the recipient and whether to send. Rating opens the store. Contact opens an editable email draft addressed to lebenindeutschland@protonmail.com; it does not send automatically or attach learning records. The support mailbox is hosted by Proton Mail. Your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send are processed by your email provider and Proton Mail to deliver and handle your inquiry. See https://proton.me/legal/privacy for Proton's privacy information. Do not send identity documents or a complete learning backup. If you visit our public information and policy website, Cloudflare receives the connection and request data needed to deliver and secure that site, such as IP address, requested URL and browser information. The site contains no developer-added analytics or advertising scripts.

6. Retention and deletion

Local learning records remain until you clear app data, replace records or uninstall the app. Exported files, pre-import copies and operating-system backups may contain separate copies and must be managed separately. Support emails remain in the support mailbox while handling the inquiry and where needed to meet legal obligations. There is no automated support-email deletion schedule configured. You may request deletion by contacting lebenindeutschland@protonmail.com; legally required retention may still apply.

7. Choices and rights

Sharing, reviewing and contacting the developer are optional and do not affect offline study. You can export local records using the backup feature. The developer cannot remotely access or erase your on-device records. If you voluntarily provide personal information by email, applicable law may grant rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and complaint to a competent data protection authority. Use the contact address above to make a request.

8. Changes

Before activating production advertising, payments, accounts, cloud services or other data processing, this information will be updated and required consent requested. Android debug test advertising can be disabled using the ENABLE_TEST_ADS build setting. Disabling advertising requests does not disable offline learning. This policy does not provide advance consent to future processing.

9. Galaxy Store distribution and reviews

This edition does not use Samsung IAP or process purchase receipts, payment tokens or payment-card details. It does not read purchase caches to grant ad removal. Rate app checks the installer reported by Android locally and opens Samsung's review page only for Galaxy Store installations, passing the application package identifier. Sharing uses an optional configured public Galaxy Store URL or generates one from the package name after checking the installer. Samsung processes Samsung-account and store-review data under its own terms and privacy policy. No learning records are attached to sharing or review requests.
